Inspiration From Judy

I find her to be one of the most beautiful Hollywood ladies of the past. She may not have been your typical starlet from the the 40's, but that's what makes her even more darling to me. Her wonderful unconventional looks and perfect 40's style inspire me greatly. I have a feeling I'm going to be adventuring even further back in time when it comes to choosing outfits in the future. I hope I look as wonderful as Judy Garland did.

Ive been a fan of Judy since I was a little girl. Like many, I first discovered her in "The Wizard of Oz." I grew to become a bigger fan as I watched many more of her movies such as "Strike Up The Band" (1940) and "Meet Me in St. Louis" (1944). When I found these pictures on Life Magazine's Photo Gallery, I just had to share my inspiration. How I covet those gorgeous hairstyles and clothes. Now, to find a striped dress and some pearls.

Pictures provided by Life, here.

I couldn't agree more. Can you believe I just saw Meet Me in St. Louis for the first time a few years ago! I knew all the songs but had no idea they were from the movie!
